A new year and more homework

It's been quite some time since my last post, but seeing as I have been happily occupied by a wonderful man I cannot complain. The Writing Center Theory and Pedagogy class has finished and after six weeks of winter break I'm back at DePaul, furthering my education. Specifically, I'm learning of weather systems and their physical characteristics, Romantic American literature, the American Dream/Nightmare, and the philosophy of comedy. Thankfully, Heidegger is mentioned from time to time in my comedy class. To be precise, Thursday we read a brief excerpt from his magnum opus, Being and Time.

I did not follow through with submitting my paper on Heidegger and the Writing Center to either of the two WC conferences I know of. Simply put, my laziness persevered.

Jupiter Outpost is my new place of employment. I am baking four days a week there and I absolutely love it. Today I tweaked the cinnamon coffeecake recipe I've been making there and made it an orange cinnamon cake instead! My owner really did enjoy it but had a few helpful suggestions that I'm excited to try next time.

Physics homework and comparisons between comedy and tragedy are calling me. Sadly, I must oblige.
